Now that 20696 course is being retired , and the 70-696 exam soon to be retired (Jan 31 AFAIK) does anyone know when we might see 70-703 exam.
I am teaching the replacement 20703-1 course in a few weeks, and I know students will be asking about which exam to do, and when they will be able to do it.
If you look in the latest Courseware title plan it says Q3 of this year. So plenty of time to prepare ;-)
I read it to mean Q3 2017. The title plan does not give a year, just Q3 for the exam. It is not in red which means it hasn't changed since the earlier Courseware title plan. And the same spreadsheet says 70-696 will be retired when 70-703 is released in Q18. 70-696 is being retired Jan 31 2018, so I read that to indicate 70-703 exam is very close. How do you know they mean Q3 this year? As that would leave a gap of over 6 months when no SCCM exams were available
The plan follows MS' fiscal year, I just realized. So, Q3 in the Fiscal year 2018 is now, from January 1st until March 31. So cross your fingers. And according to this www.microsoft.com/.../retired-certification-exams.aspx
the retirement date for 70-696 has changed to March 31st. So maybe it all makes sense and the 70-703 will be released within the next 60 days
The exam is available for registration
I'm waiting for beta promo codes
Thanks for this link Eugen. Where are you getting the beta promo codes from?
I also see the exam name does not state that it is Beta. Is this is the full exam or the Beta?
Nevermind, I see that when you try to schedule the exam it says it is the beta exam. However it can only be scheduled from 08 March. I still want to know how to get the beta promo codes.

Hi Jacque. Don't worry, I believe MSFT will publish a post about the new exam in 1-2 days after exam page publication, as usually. I believe also that promo code will be published.
Hi all, I just published the blog with the beta promo codes:
Thanks Lisa. I scheduled my exam today!
I am just curious about the certification this exam is part of. As this exam replaced 70-696 which was an elective for the MSCE Mobility track I assumed it will also count as an elective towards the MCSE Mobility certification, but the exam page says it is a credit towards an MCSA so now I am wondering where it will fit in.
