Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
Hi Dag Magne Hosiseth,
I would recommended the The Training Guide for 70-410:
Training Guide: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
The Training Guide series is a wonderful orientation to the job role for a less prepared candidate. It helps creates a foundation of skills which, along with on-the-job experience, can be measured by Microsoft Certification exams. It explores the tasks and topics deeply from a role perspective, providing lessons with practices and reviews. Most readers will use these titles to enhance their job skills for the topic technology or to prepare for an upgrade to a new product version. The Training Guide can be used to supplement your exam preparation and will cover a minimum of 80% of the topics on an exam, but more attention is paid to the daily work of the role and getting the job done right the first time.
Thanks, I'll look into the training guide.
I was preparing for Windows Server 2012 70-410 exams, but then came to know that Microsoft will change exam in Jan-2012 and will add more questions about 2012 R2. Do you know if that already happened or not ? and where I can get practice exam questions for 2012 R2 , 70-410 exam ?
Yes, 70-410 was updated January 28.
See here: borntolearn.mslearn.net/.../mcsa-windows-8-and-mcsa-windows-server-2012-exams-to-be-updated-january-28-2014.aspx
I also updated the wiki for 70-410 with the R2 content:
Anyone can edit this wiki who has a Born to Learn content, so if you find new resources while studying which are not listed yet please add them to the wiki, or let me know about it, and I will add them for you.
You will recognize a new R2 resource in the wiki with (R2) behind the link. Keith Mayer also published some new study guides which are very good and also offer hands-on practice:
MeasureUp and Self Test Software are official Microsoft exam providers, that are places where you can get practice exams. I don't know if they already updated their practice exams for R2, but they have great customer service, so please ask them that yourself.
Good luck in studying, and If you have any further questions let me know.
