I have a MOC 2956B "Core foundations For Microsoft .NET 2.0 Development"
I am preparing for Exam 70483 windows apps development with c#.. The exams syllabus is exactly same in MOC 2956B
can I refer that one? as it is based on .NET 2.0
does the content changes with framework version?
Thanks in advance.
Exam 70-483 will test you on C# 5.0, so, yes, the content changes with language version (and with the framework version, to an extent).
The Exam Ref book is available here:
Christopher Reed, MCT, MCSD, MCPD, MSpec, MTA, MCTS "The oxen are slow, but the earth is patient."
this is free of cost book
Hi Christopher, do you know if that book is really helpful? I read through the reviews on Amazon and they slated the book quite badly. I had a look at the reviews for "MCSD Certification Toolkit (Exam 70-483) Programming in C#" and that one seemed to have better reviews. But the "Exam Ref 70-483: Programming in C#" book is the one that seems to be recommended by MS. I'm having a hard time deciding on which book to use...
If you're a beginning with C#, then you might want to consider a regular C# book to get started in the language. I cannot speak for either the Wrox book or Microsoft Press's offering; however, both of these books will likely be focused on a programmer with some experience with C# as the exam will make the same assumption. Note that neither of these books will cover all of the topics on the exam (mainly because their authors will not likely have access to the exam contents).
The only problem with reviews is that the population of reviewers is not necessarily the same as the population of readers. It may be that the majority of the Microsoft Press readers didn't write a review but were quite satisfied with the book.
Overall, either book should be helpful, but only after you have some background with C#.
In the past I have recommended this series of books to fully learn C# before considering an exam:
This is really useful because the author is also the creator of LINQPad. The examples mentioned throughout the book are available in the LINQPad software to run while reading so it becomes a more interactive experience. LINQPad itself has a free version that is sufficient to use while reading the book.
Correct! that is exactly the book that I would recommend Sidney
I am Ibrahim, i would like to ask you about are you professionals in c# field , or just new and entreated, just like me, to do this, i have no any point of view to take this exam, this is just similar to programming c++ as i am simple programmer, use only dev c++ and visual stdio, whats your idea this is only for programmers or for all who are entreated in programming,
thanks for your read,
also thanks for replay
