In order to keep the Microsoft Certified Professional program current, Microsoft Learning continually monitors trends and then revises exams and certification requirements to keep pace with technology changes. Our goal is to provide you with several months’ notice of upcoming exam retirements. We review our certification program plan, the psychometric performance, and our upcoming exam list every quarter and make decisions about what to retire and when so that we can ensure people have the most up to date certifications reflecting the latest in Microsoft technologies while at the same time ensuring that MCPs can be certified on the technologies they use every day.
If a replacement exam is or will be available, it is listed here. Any changes from last month's post are in italics.

Hello I would like to know where i could obtain information about the exam 70-703 that will replace 70-696. Also which exam will replace exam 70-696 ? Kind regard Pierrick
Hi all, I want to obtain a Certification for the scope Intune. To date, which is the correct certification exam? Thanks Moreno
Do you have any update concerning 70-480, 70-483, 70-486 and 70-484 (essentially the entire web applications track)? Moreover, does Microsoft plan to introduce a CRM/Customer Engagement counterpart to MB6-894 (the D365 for Operations developer exam)?
Is Microsoft replacing the "74-344: Managing Programs and Projects with Project Server 2013" with any other exam and is it the 70-348 ?
I was planning to take MB6-890 : Microsoft Dynamics AX Development Introduction and came across that the exam is retiring on December 31,2017.
Is there an extension on retiring date or is it final?
Is there a list anywhere of *all* retired exams and their retirement dates? I'm updating my LinkedIn profile and in addition to my current certs, would also like to include my (very) old certs as I'd like to demonstrate how far my experience goes back. I want to include the retirement dates of these exams but can't seem to find them.
Specifically, I'd like to know the retirement dates for 069, 052, 051, 039 (these are old Excel and Access related exams).
1) As a service for you and your certification development colleagues, I've opened the following thread with Suggestions on Certifications and Exams:
Hopefully the borntolearn-community will provide inputs to you about, what we experience are nescessary or benficiary certifications - and which need updates to newest MS Software Editions.
I know you have to balance student wishes, business world demands, certification competition and internal MS strategies - as well as the capacity to prepare new and updated exams. Placing student wishes in one place hopefully easens that task.
2) Is there any news om Exam 358: Developing Cloud Services (planned for beta in September 2016) or has it been entirely scrapped?
This is the public list:
Unfortunately the oldest are retirements from 2008, and 039, 051, 052 & 069 are not included, meaning they were probably retired pre-2008.
When will be the 70-703 exam released?
Personally, I'm looking forward to it because I'm a big SCCM fan since 2011, explore every technical preview release and newest features.
@Eugen Berend I trust you saw that 70-703 was released last week in beta:
