Hi Larry, there will be a BETA exam code for MVPs or influencers?
I presume that there will be a MCSE set of exams coming up as well?
So what happens to 70- 46* exam series?
I have one question. I've recently passed 70-462 Administering SQL Server 2012/2014 and tomorrow i'm taking 70-461, which in this "new path" is included in "Database Development". I'm interested in the Administration path. Should i take 461 and 463 to get MCSA 2012/2014 and then take one of the 2016 exams? Or maybe there's a chance to fix my path. Otherwise, I'll be taking 3 different path exams. It really disencourages me.
Thanks for your answer.
These are all total different exams. The code is 7xx not 4xx.
You will just need to upgrade.
Hello Larry,I am new to IT and would like to improve my skills by learning and enrolling for the Course 40364A: Database Administration Fundamentals: MTA Exam 98-364 .Do I have to enrol for a class? Is there any accredited Microsoft Partner/Examiner? How can I go about applying/enrolling for the course (MTA Exam 98-364) so that I can be certified and what is the cost? I am an IT novice and I welcome a candid advice...
For MSCE: Data Platform recertifying via MVA
We find that for either
Option 1: Database app developer
Option 2: Database administrator
The Step 2 : Microsoft Azure Fundamentals: Storage and Data course is a retired course! Can we take the new course instead and can the link be fixed?
Any study kit to prepare this?
@Roberto - Yes, once the beta exams are available, a limited number of vouchers will be provided to individuals registered to our SME database - you can register here: connect.microsoft.com/site862
@Gogula - Yes, new MCSE options will be announced by mid-August.
@Susantha - The 46* exams will remain in market, as they provide certification on SQL Server 2012 and 2014.
@Roman - The new MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Development path includes exam 761, which is distinct from 461. Once you complete your MCSA: SQL Server 2012/2014 certification, you will only need to take exam 765 to earn the new MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration credential.
@Bolarinwa - If you look at the Preparation Options section of the exam page (www.microsoft.com/.../exam-98-364.aspx), you will find listings for both an instructor-led course and practice test. A course is not required to take the exam.
@David.smooth - It appears that the localized versions of the Recertification page have not yet been updated for the changes we posted in June. The "Microsoft Azure Fundamentals: Storage and Data" MVA course has been replaced with "Data Storage and Processing in the Cloud Demystified", so please complete this new one instead.
@Lucia - We are currently working with the Pearson VUE / MeasureUp team to build practice tests for these new exams and anticipate their availability in late Fall 2016.
Anywhere we can have a preview of the skill measured by exam? I've been helping a group go through the 2012 certification process for the past few months and this may cause us to review significantly our planning and objectives.
@Frederic - thanks - as we get closer to the release dates for the exams, the exam objectives will be posted to the web site - stay tuned
Please help me map MOC (along with its #) to each exam - i am unable to find this info, are these available on MS Learning Download centre?
Thanks in Advance!
Hi, please, please bring the AppToCert program back.
I did not know it really is going to be finished, so I thought, lets wait till next Month run, so it will be easier do manage Deadlines. I have already a few Apps ready to submit. please?
I have passed my 461 & 463 exam and have just started studying for the 466 exam. My current study for the exam has been around the Multidimensional Model. I am a BI Developer.
Now, with the new 2016 certification pack, particularly the MCSA: SQL 2016 route that applies to me, I'm in an awkward spot. My 463 exam is not an automatic upgrade to the 70-767 exam.
So from what I can ascertain, either way, I need to pass 2 exams to achieve MSCA: SQL2016 BI.
Pass 70-767 & 70-768 to become MSCA: SQL2016 BI
Pass 70-768 & 70-462(old 2014 dba exam) to become
MCSA: SQL2016 BI
MSCA: SQL Server 2014.
So I may as well choose the later for an extra qualification???
