Management packs typically contain monitoring settings for applications and services. After a management pack is imported into a management group, System Center 2012 – Operations Manager immediately begins to monitor objects based on default configurations and thresholds set by the management pack. In these virtual labs, you’ll become familiar with the components in the environment that the management pack is detecting, specifically with a Distributed Application for the measurement of the entire application. Learn how to keep track of server components’ health with Windows Service Monitor, and use Database monitors for event and performance tracking.
