Top Students of the Week /MonthSome of you may have noticed our new Top Students home page banner now features weekly and monthly point leaders for both your local market and globally. This was done based on member feedback asking for more ways for recent member accomplishments to be featured more often. We have also updated the Top Students leader board so you can compare yourself to top students in your country by week, by month or by all-time. We hope this allows more amazing MVA members all over the world to be featured.
New MVA Video Experience
We are also continuing to improve the site experience. Our goal is to make it easier to find and experience the courses that are important to you and give you new ways to share and compare your progress.
This week we launch a totally new MVA video experience we would love for you to try. This is designed to make it easier to navigate a course, skim the various course modules, find supplementary materials and take self-assessments.
We want your voice involved as we improve the MVA experience. Please try this new MVA video experience by taking one of our recorded Jump Starts here and send us your feedback to “Tell The Dean”. This past fall, the addition of MVA Jump Starts has added a new dimension to help you get just in time information from tech experts. Jump Starts are live events that allow you to take a course live and ask questions and interact with instructors and your global classmates in real time.
As I write this post, nearly 500 people are experiencing our live interactive Jump Start class right now. In 2013 we will be expanding the frequency of our live Jump Start events and providing them on-demand.You can check out our upcoming live and on demand events at our new Jump Start page.
While today is a great milestone, we have much larger vision for MVA we will be revealing over the coming months that will continue our commitment to help you in your job or your career.

These one-day live online events are designed for IT Pros experienced in virtualization but interested in learning how to better leverage the Windows Server 2012 platform, Hyper-V and System Center 2012 SP1. Scott Charney serves as Microsoft's Corporate Vice President for Trustworthy Computing, Engineering Excellence, and Environmental Sustainability. Trustworthy Computing is Microsoft's effort to help ensure secure, private and reliable computing experiences for everyone. As part of this effort, the Trustworthy Computing team works with business groups throughout the company to ensure their products and services adhere to Microsoft's security and privacy policies. Engineering Excellence is responsible for supporting Microsoft's engineering community by providing Microsoft engineers with learning and development opportunities, as well as by discovering and propagating engineering best practices across the company and into the IT ecosystem. Edna Conway, Cisco Systems, Inc., Chief Security Strategist, Global Supply Chain
Edna M. Conway serves as Cisco’s Chief Security Strategist for the company’s Global Supply Chain. In this capacity, she is leading Cisco’s strategy to assess, monitor, and continuously improve the security of its global value chain. She also leads Cisco’s supply chain cyber protection plan, serving on the company’s Cybersecurity Board and Risk and Resiliency Operating Committee. Conway serves as the Vice-chair of The Open Group’s Trusted Technology Forum, a public-private effort to establish an international standard for trusted technology provider status. She oversees Cisco’s participation in various efforts to deliver international supply chain security and technology standards which meld the goals of the Information & Communication Technology community and its customers’ increasing focus on the integrity of that technology (e.g. ISO, iNEMI, IPC and The Common Criteria).
