Anyone from Microsoft reading these forums?Just received a phone call saying the MTA material for IT Pros will be delayed another month and won't be ready until September which is over 2 months late and well after the school semester has begun.
Microsoft and our students are the real losers with this program. Not only are we not teaching Microsoft material, the vouchers will expire before the students can even prepare for the exam.
I hope Microsoft rethinks this and extends the expiration date of the vouchers until the end of June next year to give us an opportunity to use the material. Microsoft also needs to consider how this looks to college administrators. In May and June they promised the MTA program would be ready for the fall semester. We worked hard to get these classes on the calendar for fall’s course offerings. No we have the cancel the courses. When the administration finds out it was Microsoft that failed to deliver the course on time our administration will never trust them again.
Classes beging in two weeks. Can anything be done?
I wish I saw this post earlier.
You may already know, but here goes...
The Exam Review Kit are not meant to be delivered as a whole course. They are supposed to add on to the existing courses that you teach. The material releasing on September 1st, assumes that most of the information has been delivered in some format prior to the learners preparing for the exam. Hence the ERK is supposed to brush up the knowledge or highlight what is necessary to know for the exam.
The best course of action is to use the objective domains and map an existing course/courseware that would then be supplemented by the ERK.
Hope that helps.
