In the 'old' MCT newsgroups beta exams are regularly announced so people (mct's) can participate. For MOS exams I never see those beta exam announcements. How does one get the change to participate in those beta exams or are is this by invitation only?
Secondly i've read somewhere that the timeframe for the exam is 90 minutes. Has this been extended beause the earlier exams had a timespan of 60 minutes.
Maurice
Hello Maurice. We had to rush our betas for the first two MOS exams in order to make our launch timeline of June 30. I will definitely plan to announce the betas for our next MOS 2010 exams so that MCTs can participate, absolutely. My apologies for not getting an announcement out in time for the first two.
Also, the MOS 2010 exams will be one hour long, the same length of time for our 2007 exams. The beta form provides a longer timeframe, and perhaps what you read wasn't very clear that this was for betas only.
Hope this helps!
Is there any exam prep material for the Office 2010 exams? Specificly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Thanks
Hi Douglas,
We do have some elearning that you can review, which will help somewhat to prepare for the MOS 2010 exams. Here's a filtered view of the content: learning.microsoft.com/.../catalog.aspx
Also, might I recommend Ribbon Hero? (www.officelabs.com/ribbonhero) This little app embeds into key Office 2010 applications and helps you practice tasks that map well to the exams. I swear it helped me pass the first two - Word and Excel.
Finally, we will have Press MOS 2010 Study Guides, however these aren't due out until late fall.
Good luck!
Wendy
