Any news on the MCDST and MCITP: EST upgrade exam, the 70-682?
According to here, it is/was earmarked Feb/Mar time but there's been no updates.

Leo, I'm checking for you. The exam is in the ship process right now, so it's definitely going to be availalble imminently. As soon as we have a date from Prometric, I'll let you guys know.

What's the best way to study for the exam? I've been reading the self-paced MS book for 70-680.
As the 682 is an upgrade exam, I would say study the material for the 680 and the 685 (books/CBT's, etc). Get yourself some hands on practice/experience. And some legit practice exams from vendors such as Measure Up, Preplogic, etc... so see if you have any weak areas :)
Looks like the exam is available via Prometric, however there's no objective page on Microsoft's site?
It would be nice to have but not really necessary.. Review the objectives of the 70-680 and 685 exam and go with that :)
(I have never reviewed the Vista upgrade for MCDSTs, but it might not be far off of this, taking all parts of the two exams it's made up from into one)
It's not just the case of being nice, it the case of keeping the client/customer base (plus also non-IT hiring managers) informed when looking into certifications/qualifications. Plus, why go to two pages when you can go to 1?
But I do know what you mean :)
Unfortunately as 70-682 only counts as the MCITP:EDST7 certification, there's very little going for it. Best practice as it stands is to take the 70-680 an 70-685 separately.

Help!
I have taken 72-682 and now need to arrange a retake, but prometric keep telling me they cannot schedule it as the exam is retired?!
I have also spoken to microsoft, who told me that the 682 exam is not available in the 72 student series and only in the professional 70 series!
This cannot be true as I have taken this once and have 072-682 in my prometric exam history!
