For regular visitors of this Events blog on Born to Learn, you're already familiar with a series on MVA called "Jump Starts," which are live virtual training events that are typically one full day of learning (and sometimes two). Thousands of IT professionals and developers participate in these online training courses that cover just about every Microsoft technology and then some, whether to learn about the newest product features, prepare for upcoming certification exams or get questions answered by technical experts.
As we continue to build out Born to Learn, which is a community site for you, we want to make sure timely and on-topic information is easy for you to find. Matt Calder, Senior Content Publisher on the MVA team, had been announcing new Jump Starts as they open for registration via this Events focused blog. These announcements will now be posted in our newly organized forums instead. The training resources forums are organized by technology, so you'll find relevant learning resources under each topic: MVA live (Jump Start) and on-demand courses, new Microsoft Press books, etc. Under the same "Training Resources" forum tab, you'll also find a Microsoft Virtual Academy (MVA) specific forum, where you can talk with Matt Calder about MVA website and content. See the screen shot below.
There are a few ways to keep up with announcements and activities in these forums:
This Events section will still be up, but will focus more on in-person events, such as TechEd, user group conferences, etc. More new content is in the works so please stay tuned.
For those who are actively pursuing a new certification, we have also set up online study groups led by Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT) and other SMEs on this site. Check them out here.
It's great to have you here in the Microsoft certification and training community. Thanks for reading and participating!
