Exam 70-579 is now available in Prometric testing centers. This is a technical specialist (TS) exam designed to assess candidates’ hands-on skills configuring Windows Mobile 6.5 devices. .
A qualified candidate for this exam possesses a deep and broad understanding of managing and configuring the user experience for mobile devices and mobile applications in a business environment. The candidate has the knowledge of concepts such as Outlook® Web Access (OWA) and synchronization solutions and XML configuration.
The candidate also has a minimum of one year of experience working with Windows Mobile devices. Experience includes using or managing Windows Mobile 6.5 with Exchange Server 2007, Configuration Manager 2007, and System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008. The successful candidate also has knowledge of mobile and general network security concepts such as firewalls, encryption, certificates, and configuration XML and security protocols; Microsoft ActiveSync® 4.5 or later or Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1; and messaging protocols.
