Exam tips 101 : The Day is coming!
Posted by irish12k on 18 Mar 2011
Afternoon, everyone! Just wanted to recap on my exam progress, job searching, and sum up the last week before TechEd NA....well, next week! I'm so very excited!!! This time of life flies by and I'm definitely bringing a camera next week!
I have a MTA Operating System cert! Yet, many of you know, I failed my first two attempts at the Windows 7 680 exam during the show. I will be attending a Cram4Exam session in Atlanta to sharpen my last bit of skills with Windows 7. I've thought about getting a second MTA certification before Saturday, but my tight schedule didn't allow it this last week of school - I'm planning a graduation Friday the 13th, after all!
June has now been set to take more certifications, and below I explain why.
Job searching has had its ups and downs as it always can! I've officially signed on with my school to assistant lead a team of 16 teachers to Beijing, China this July 6th - August 8th, so that has put a hold on starting jobs in June like I had planned. (I have the whole month of June to do just certifications and job hunting) But, I will never regret my decision to go back overseas. I have met some people from SMIC Corp and other computing companies while in Beijing (It's a very flexible trip and I'm truly grateful). I wouldn't miss this trip for the world. I love working with kids, and leading. DBU is more than gracious to pay for nearly the entire trip if you teach English as a second language.
Once I get back from TechEd in June, I will finish up with some recruiters I've contacted and see if there are any jobs that are willing to work around my trip to China. It's not a big deal if they can't, because I know there will still be jobs out there in August. So excited for what God will do this summer, either way!
The Career Factor crew has gathered in Atlanta, Georgia and they're already having a great time!
Congrats Kevin, 70-680 is no walk in the park!
