Exam tips 101 : The Day is coming!
Posted by irish12k on 18 Mar 2011
There are people out there studying for Windows 7 : Configuring just like me. I'm not the only one, I'm not the only one! My first two attempts at the 680 exam weren't winners but I've compiled some good resources from some mentors of mine and other roles on the show.
I have a choice of taking MTA exams to help me build up to my knowledge of the Windows 7 : Configuring exam. This is good because it gives me the chance to build up for the actual exam and the get littler MTA certs along the way so to speak. They are geared towards core parts of Windows and they have just been released this month or something.
What is a MTA exam?
A MTA exam on Windows Operating Systems Fundamentals are similar to pre-TS level exams. Students in college or even high school can work on these exams. They're less product-focused and more technology concepts focused. They have things like Security Fundamentals and Networking Fundamentals.

It makes me sick to have to backtrack a bit, but you have to start somewhere. The cost of the TS: 680 exam ($$) is high even if you have a student discount. This is for a reason, though, so not to many people have this exam and it becomes something not looked up to anymore.
The Career Factor participants are thinking about certification a lot these days: Caroline is working
