Do you recall seeing this subway map? Perhaps at a tech event? It's an awesome roadmap of all of our technical certifications, with the exams clearly mapped to the corresponding Microsoft Official Courseware.
Well, we're proud to announce this fantastic subway map is available as a free Windows 8 desktop app! We're calling this app the "Training and Certification Guide". The interactive subway map is fully clickable; by clicking you will get more details about the technical portfolios: Microsoft Official Courseware, certification exams, etc. Clicking further will then take users to /learning.
A breakdown of keyword guidance is also included to map keywords to our certifications. The app also includes a ‘view as PDF’ option for anyone that wants to print out the pages.
Download the Microsoft Training and Certification Guide onto your Windows 8 or RT device today.
How can I download it for Windows 7?
I could not recommend this app.
With due respect, i wish there is an option to download it as a pdf instead of an app.
@kaushik dey : There is... Inside the app.
Most of what is in the app/PDF is noise, you are better served with the simple roadmap:
Alternatively, I am sure MSL_Catalog_R7_Press_Updated.pdf will pop up somewhere online.
@Jason - Thank you so much for replying to Kaushik's question. You beat us to it. :)
I also want to thank you for the feedback. You're right. There are other options to obtain a static copy of the popular roadmap. We hope the app will make it easier for existing and prospective MCPs to take the roadmap with them and also get the latest version when it's updated.
Not a problem Veronica, It's all part of my job as a MAP*. The app is a great idea, but the execution makes it more difficult to read a pdf then just opening the pdf.

LOL at "MAP," Jason. Your active participation here is appreciated. I especially love the way you share your certification related knowledge and experience with others across the social web.
"See" you on the Patch and Switch show again soon! :)
How come this does include the track for Office 365 MCSA (70-346 and 70-347)? It makes me wonder what else is missing.
DL It looks like the O365 stuff is under "Services".
It's a good effort, but it really breaks soooo many of the Win8 Store App design principals. Very hard to "discover" information except to pan through it. And no search so it's hard to look for keyword things like for O365 info or all certs that deal with html. The nav bar is visible "chrome", which is generally veboten. No semantic Zoom. No share contract. While it is "fast and fluid" and visually appealing (good branding btw), I think it would be a better "app" if you'd really tried to get away from the pdf format and tried to think of how better to display the information, think how the user would need to consume it. The WP8 app if very good at that.
This is nice. I look forward to following the progress. Are there current plans to update the content with each release of certifications? I had an entire drawer full of last year's paper brochure roadmaps that I had to throw away last week as they had already become outdated.
Thanks for this effort!
I have an android (Galaxy S4), can this be downloaded onto my phone? Thanks.
I believe it is a Windows 8 app for desktops/tablets only. I can't even install it on my Windows 8 Phone. Someday, all Windows Store apps will work on my Windows Phone. Not this version though.
@Angela - Davin's correct. The app is currently for Win8 desktop only. While not quite the same, you can download the certification roadmap as an PDF from the "tools you can use" page at borntolearn.mslearn.net/.../toolsyoucanuse.aspx (within the Certification Challenge group). Hope this helps!
Could you please create Study Groups in this site for each of the categories shown on the map. There is currently not a group for the Service category.
