I am excited to announce the arrival of the new SharePoint 2010 exam, joining our Microsoft Office Specialist 2010 line up. If you're like me, SharePoint has become a key, integrated platform to connect with coworkers on key projects, as well as store and share valuable information. And I love how well SharePoint 2010 seamlessly connects with Office 2010, including the same ribbon interface. Brilliant!

Questions? Please let me know. Happy testing!
Do you know when the results of the Beta will be made available?
I hope to the gods of nerdness that this final version of the exam is 500 times better than the beta I took. The test was an absolute DISASTER! Something I was embarassed to take. Locked up on the same question, the same step, EIGHT TIMES! I've shared my concerns with certiport already and they've offered a free voucher, which I have taken them up on. So I hope this time, they've worked the kinks out or I will be advising students not to take this exam until it is repaired.
Richard - it should take about 2-3 weeks after the exam releases at most to know results, and could be sooner. Keep an eye on your online transcript via the Certiport site, which will change the beta results to a pass or fail as soon as the results are churned through.
jennsnoddy13672 - so sorry to hear the beta was glitchy for you! I've heard similar feedback from a few others. Rest assured, we are working to ensure the final exam experience is glitch-free. While betas are often a bit rough, my understanding is the SharePoint beta was more so than usual. Again, my apologies, and thank you for participating and putting up with the issues!
Hi Wendy,
I would agree with others that there is still lot to do in the Beta and hope that final exam will be much better. But I must say that I really enjoyed taking this exam since this was totally different from usual exams, in a way that it was totally simulation and lab based. I really liked the format of the exam. At least you can try and do certain things which you actually do in your real life to solve a query or problem.
Kudos to your team for bringing such a format. I hope to see more and more exams to be converted to this format.
Cheers
Aman Garg
Just noticed i passed the exam :-) I have to say that we did not have any issues during the beta testing. So hats of for the team and Certiport. Only thing that could have been tricky were the waiting times between the questions. Can't wait for the next one!
Maurice
I got a pass too, updated on the certiport site :-)
Think there is another exam on OneNote to be launched in october. any dates for the beta. Also any plans for the exam on Infopath?
Hi Wendy
Just noticed I got a pass too. Like Maurice I didn't have any glitches with my exam. It was very long though......
Kevin
Hi all - CONGRATS to you, Maurice, Aman, and Kevin! Passing a beta exam should give you some kind of special bonus, in my opinion. Those betas are a test of endurance as much as skill in using the application. I'm glad to hear the live exam ran smoother. I've heard there was a bit of a lag in wait times between questions and am hopeful we can work those out quickly.
I'll post dates for the upcoming OneNote exam as soon as I have solid information. I'm very excited about that exam as well - these two new additions to MOS really round out the certification suite well I think.
Aman - at this point we don't have plans for an Infopath exam. We unfortunately don't have enough market demand to support the dev costs at this point.
Wendy that's great!
Question... I don't find and Preparation Materials under the tab - will you be listing them? www.microsoft.com/.../Exam.aspx
Also the Practice Test links (Measureup.com) & (Selftestsoftware.com) go to sources that do not have SharePoint 2010 MOS related info.
Thanks!
The day of my exam (back in May), I was seriously doubting that my adventure was worth the effort I was putting into it. But I hope that at least some of the feedback I provided MS was incorporated into the final exam. The result was that on Sunday I got an email congratulating me on passing the exam. So that's a li'l feather in my cap.
