As a kid who grew up reading Superman, Teen Titans, and the Legion of Super-Heroes, I know full well that comics can do a great job of teaching without the reader even noticing. While I was thrilling to adventure, I was learning some pretty advanced vocabulary and science. Even today, I’m surprised when my kids discuss things they learned in science class, and I realize I learned it as a “Flash Fact.”

It’s one thing to sneak in a few basic science concepts now and again—but could a comic book actually teach IT Pros and developers complex topics like virtualization, PowerShell, and cloud computing? One of our user assistance teams is determined to find out.

You might have noticed their posts over the past few months—but just in case they snuck by you: if you haven’t read the full posts and downloaded their comics, you’re missing out on some cool stuff. Trying to balance entertainment with education is a tricky task—but I think they’re pulling it off. Check out their blog and decide for yourself.

What do you think? Should more training content be available in this form? What strengths and drawbacks do you see? As someone who works in a more “traditional” content development organization, I’m fascinated to see if comic content takes off.
