Processing the promo code took a while, no error messages, just stayed on the voucher area, then finally switched while I was coming here.
Hi Amanda, any ideas about when will be available the Project 2010 exams?
Hi Raul! The Project 2010 exam is 70-178. It's in Beta through the end of the month and then will be officially released to the public in mid-February. And David, so sorry to hear it took a while for the promo code to process. Let me know if you run into that issue again and I'll escalate.
I just registered for the 70-664 but i do not see the 665. Does this mean the registration is closed?
Hi Jason, if you're not seeing 71-665, then all of the spots have indeed been taken for the Beta. Amanda
I have already scheduled a test, but now find I am unable to reschedule it (change the date/centre) online.
I am also not able to schedule a new exam as the exam no longer appears in the list for selection online.
(I had thought to bypass the problem by cancelling it and scheduling it again)
Note: Regarding the entry not appearing in the list - this is *not* what normally happens when a beta exam is full.
Anyway, I have rung Prometric and they say the end date for scheduling exams is shown as the 30th December, and that this prevents new scheduling or re-sceduling. They have agreed that the voucher expires on the 20th January, so are going to look into it. Unfortunately my test is currently booked for tomorrow afternoon.
They said they would look at this and gave me a ticket number 6869378.
Hmm... I also notice that you have the end date listed above as: January 20, 2010 (not 2011)
I wonder if this error has propagated through the system and locked everything up.
Hi Jim, the Beta start date for 665 was 12/30 but due to a technical issue, we've had to push that out a few days. I have never heard of a 12/30 end date for scheduling exams; but January 20 would be the end date for the Beta itself so the day by which the voucher would expire. Methinks this does all result from the start of the Beta being delayed due to technical issues. With regards to the end date listed above, that's my error entirely; nothing to due with Prometric. So it was not propagated through the system. I'm forwarding along your information to my contacts to ensure they get you rebooked without any difficulty. So sorry about the confusion! Amanda
I see that there is another Lync Server beta exam up on the Prometric website:
071-664 - TS: Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Configuring
Is there a promotional code available for that exam as well?
Hi John, see this post: borntolearn.mslearn.net/.../register-for-lync-server-2010-ts-beta-exam.aspx
Sorry for the mixup folks. 71-665 is now live and you should be able to register/reschedule with Prometric if you haven't done so already. Becuase of the New Years Gremlins we had, we're going to extend the beta an extra week to make up for the lost week. Sorry again for the technical glitch, and good luck on the beta!
According to MSL Catalog, this exam should be released today. How long should we wait for beta results?
Hi Argon, let's give this one until 4/4 as well. If you don't see your results, just let me know and I'll follow up with Prometric.
Thanks, Amadnda! It was surprise for me, I've got "passed" status for this exam already!
Any new Lync courses on the horizon???
