If you get the MCP Flash, you should have received a little note about a survey we're doing on test center experience. Please take a look and respond to the survey as we really want to hear about your experiences. I've also included the text from the Flash below.
Take the Survey
--------------------------
We had a phenomenal response rate from our Wallet Card survey in the last MCP News Flash. We read every single verbatim and response (more than 2,000), and we’ll use them to determine next steps toward a solution. We hope to tell you more about those next steps in the May newsletter--so stay tuned.
Please understand that we serve a large audience that’s socially and economically diverse, so there is never one solution that works for everyone. However, when an overwhelming number of individuals indicate a problem with the program, we do listen and we do take action. We believe in direct customer feedback, and try to use it in every proposed program change to help validate our strategic direction. Therefore, your responses are critical to ensure that our program is meeting your needs.
Please help us continue the forward progress towards improving your experience with the Microsoft Certification Program. The following short survey will help us better understand your experience with various test providers to ensure we have the best experience for our community. This survey will take approximately three to seven minutes and is open from April 21 to May 7.
So you need one fiscal year to pass and survey to understand our negative feedback? I guess you see through exams numbers that you have mede a lot of bad decissions.
So far besides surveys nothing have changed for better, I get impression it is worse everyday. Better get to work and fix MSL.
Hey Now,
Every test center I've used was good.
Thx 4 the info,
Catto
Worst experiance ever, Prometric is abysmal. Registering with customer care can take over an hour. Test machines crash mid-test. I hope Microsoft listens to their customers and drop Prometric.
Never ever have I had any problems with prometric in my 30+ tests I have done. I have always used the website for regestring. Only when web registering for beta test does it go slow. The few times I have had to call them to transfer a exam to my old mcp id or to get a beta score report they have responded very nicely. Though I am from Denmark it might be different in other contries
My testing experience with Prometric hasn't been bad, but I wish places (not just Prometric) would understand some people are lefthanded and not have 4" mouse wires with zip ties holding them down on the right of the keyboard. The Prometric website on the other hand is usually terribly slow and not the most fun to interact with. I think Vue's site >5 years ago was better than Prometric's site today.
I had quite a terrible experience recently taking the 83-740 exam. Took two attempts and even the second one wasn't without issues. I guess it's more related to the particular exam as I tried two test centres. Now 5 days later I still haven't got my result!!!
I just took the 70-640 exam today. Apparently, in July 2010, Prometrics pulled the 83-640 due to many complaints of technical difficulties. So be warned, you may show up at the testing center to find out that it's now 70-640 again, but the questions are actually from the 83-640. And it's 75 questions, which are barely similar to the old 70-640 questions.
So if you studied for the "new" 70-640 or the 83-640, you'll be ok, but if your study material is over 1 year old, you need to get newer material.
