  • MTA?  Where does this certification fit in?  I have never heard of it before.

  • This post was mentioned on Twitter by cfrandall: RT @MSLearning: Downloadable Microsoft Certification Paths Now Available! http://bit.ly/cvV2tX

  • Looks like MSL slipped up and either got the roadmaps entirely wrong, or leaked a new series of cert too early.

  • @jhelton: Time will tell. :-)

  • MTA - Microsoft Technology Associate?  Entry level qualification perhaps?

  • Yeah you really need new level of certificates! LOL So far market hardly noticed MCTS/MCITP and you are introducing new product? Better bring back MCSA/MCSE 2008 . How could you destroy such valuable "product"/"brand"?

BTW I have seen and have cached those pdfs :)

  • Looks like it.  Probably something along the line of a MS-centric Server+/Network+/Security+.  My guess (from the exam numbers) is that it will related to the Microsoft IT Academies (education institutions rather than the general public).

  • Did a google search for "microsoft mta certification" and found the following from 1 month ago...

    certcities.com/.../story.asp

If you google the test numbers, there are Microsoft pages for two of them...

    www.microsoft.com/.../exam.aspx

    www.microsoft.com/.../exam.aspx

  • Interesting that they recommendation of having x years/months of experience with the topic is removed. Definitely looks like an entry-level thing.
