When my colleague Deborah asked me to present a Live Meeting for IT hiring managers called “Whatever Happened to the MCSE? (and What’s This MCITP?),” I figured we’d maybe get a couple hundred interested participants.

So when I checked the registration numbers today, I was a bit shocked to find that we have about fourteen hundred registrations!

Yikes—guess we must have touched a nerve with that title! (and I guess I better finish my slides. :-)

If you’d like to join us, the more the merrier (and while you’re at it, sign up for Liberty’s “The Truth About Certification Exams” session too! As anyone who attended our bus tour events knows, Liberty’s sessions are always chock full of insider info you won’t get anywhere else!

  • This session was always very well attended when it was run at TechED by Trika, so I'm not surprised it is going a little nuts now.
  • Orin i agree wid ya... My view is that problems started at Microsoft Learning when Trika left....first they took the wallet cards and certificates and next they make you go to some group you've never heard of to do your exams...HDI (LMAO)..Sad, really sad! Years of success and now everything that MS built is going down
  • Correlation != causation. I liked Trika, but I seriously doubt that her departure as the blogging public face for MS Learning had anything to do with the changes that people have been upset with. If anything I'd blame the global economic meltdown and a drive to cut costs without raising customer expense.

As far as the HDI requirement goes...who knows what they were thinking there.
