The following beta exam is available for registration on Prometric’s Web site now:

Exam Beta code
71-663: Pro: Designing and Deploying Messaging Solutions with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 EPROJ

Click the exam title above to view the exam’s preparation guide, which includes a description of the audience for each exam and a list of the skills to be tested. As with every beta exam, seats are limited. So if you have work experience with designing and deploying messaging solutions with Exchange Server 2010, hurry up and register now!

We used our MSL SME database to recruit the first round of beta participants for this exam. SMEs who indicated work experience with Exchange Server 2010 in their profiles were sent a notification that included the beta code before exam registration opened. If you haven’t already created a SME profile on Microsoft Connect, there’s no time like the present. See this post for more information about how to create a SME profile.

  • "VBCs will launch December 8"

    Not long now.
  • Yup! And we're hitting that date. We just went through testing and we're in the final stages!
  • A quick question. What is the retake policy on beta exams? If you don't pass it will it show up on your official transcript as a fail/not-pass? Thank you.
  • I didn't think that any of the exams show up on your transcript is a fail, regardless of whether they are beta or not. Do non-beta fails show up?
  • i have never failed a MS beta exam, so i can tell you the passes do show up on your transcript. I would severely doubt the fails show up....
  • I know I'm tempting fate and dialing Mr. Murphy's law practice hotline by saying this, but I have been lucky enough to not (yet) fail an MS test so I didn't know.
  • Beta definitely shows up as fail on your prometric transcript. I know this from a couple of exams I sat, not knowing enough about the product in question. Exchange 2010 TS was an example, funnily enough.
  • I totally did not expect a reply =) Good to know everything is going to plan.
  • Yes! Had exactly the same experience...really thought that I knew what I was on about...and then the transcript updated on the Prometric site to tell me that I didn't have a clue. Well, you win some and you lose some!
  • Fails do not show up on your Microsoft.com official certification transcript. Fails do show up on your Prometric.com testing transcript. This is true regardless of whether an exam was taken as beta or non-beta.

  • I was not able to sign up either. I received an email. Is the beta closed or just something wrong with the promo code?
