Just 4 hectic days before we fly to Europe, it really is time to get this show on the road!
In two weeks from now, the Bus will be in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands, where we will be hosted by CompuTrain BVO.
Meet our host, Patrick Kersten, as he speaks to the event he is preparing right now:
Who is Patrick Kersten?
At Compu’Train I am responsible for the Training & Development department. This department consists of 15 highly professional product managers and trainers who are responsible for their own product portfolio: developing and delivering courses and monitoring the quality of courses delivered. These product managers are also involved in keeping a balance in the commercial cost and benefits of the courses delivered.
Tell us more about your company or school:
Compu’Train is a large IT training organization in the Netherlands with over 25 years of experience. Compu’Train delivers over 500 different courses in more than 40 training facilities. We deliver courses for both IT Pros and End Users, varying from individual to instructor-led as well as blended learning models.
Why did you want to be involved with the Get on the Bus tour?
As a Microsoft Gold CPLS we became very enthusiastic when we heard that the Career Express would visit Europe. Hosting an event gives us the opportunity to have our partners meet and greet the experts themselves and offer them exclusive previews of Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010.
Furthermore, this is a huge opportunity for us to let the world know about BVO Training Center becoming part of the Compu’Train Group, resulting in the Compu’Train Group being the largest IT training organization in the Netherlands.
What things are you planning for the event?
Currently we are very busy with the preparations for the event. Due to the fact that Compu’Train will be moving offices on exactly November 2, we decided not to host the event at our head office in Utrecht, but at the location of our learning partner in the Compu’Train Group, BVO Training Center, in Nieuwegein. Attendees will be welcomed with coffee and croissants from 8:00 AM. Technical sessions start at 9:00, but early birds will have the chance to attend a session about certification first.
