Do you consider yourself a whiz in Windows Server 2008 R2 Server Virtualization? Do you want to participate in the development of the next round of Virtualization exams? Well you can! We are looking for volunteers to participate in blueprinting for Exam 70-659, TS: Windows Server 2008 R2, Server Virtualization.

(Are you having deja vu? That’s because I posted something eerily similar yesterday. Honestly, just fill out your SME profile already, and maybe I’ll stop nagging you.)

We’ll be using our new MSL SME database to find participants for blueprinting as well as other phases of development for this exam. For your best chance of participating, create a SME profile by filling out the survey on the MSL SME site on Microsoft Connect. (See this post for more information.) If you have already created your SME profile, make sure that you update it to reflect your experience with R2 Virtualization experience.

  • Virtualization, HyperV and Microsoft oh my! (Beta time!)... OMG! It’s Beta Thursday! Well, kind of… it’s the release of a ‘call for SME’s’ for the future Windows Server virtualization (re:Hyper-V) beta exam 70-659! It will formally go by the name: Exam 70-659, TS: Windows Server 2008 R2, Server Virt...
  • I could swear my profile is updated to reflect HyperV, Virtualization and other.. but just incase, hi Krista! ;)
  • Hi Chris, I checked the database for your profile. I m afraid that because you were one of the "early adopters" who I shamelessly used as guinea pigs for testing the survey, you filled out the survey before I put in the exhaustive list of MS technologies! When you get a chance, maybe you could go back and update your answers to question 4? Meanwhile, I ll let Jim know that you re interested... Thanks Chris. Krista
  • Krista, Will you and other folks at Microsoft Learning be using the beta exam announcements blog any more (http://blogs.technet.com/betaexams/)?
  • Hi Mary, Great question. I asked our product planners and they confirmed that they would like to keep the beta blog going also, at least for now. Though your question does make me think that I ought to add a new category for Beta exams so that folks can subscribe to that channel from Born to Learn.
  • Hi Krista, Checking my SME profile I cannot find Server 2008 R2 or Virtualization R2. Could you note me down as one of them interested in the 70-659 exam please? Regards, David
  • Will there be an open beta for this exam?
  • Hi Jordan, We do expect to have a beta for this exam, but it won t be for several months yet. Make sure you submit a SME profile for your best chance of participating!
