Coming Soon: Season Two (or is that 7?)

Andreas H. asked for it: “Hmm… Only for US Residents? Why do we have such a tour only in the US, what’s about Europe?”

Arnaud asked for it: “Hey, very good proposition but only for Us guys !!! I can’t believe it, I’m from Paris and hope you will change your mind and invite me for this tour (free of charge for a little french man of course).”

Chris asked for it: “We should do something like this in EMEA”

…and my team *really* asked for it! So for our European readers, contributors, customers, trainers, and partners, there’s really only one thing to say:

  • Shame! Such trip will make much more emission than all Plastic Wallet Cards ever released. You are really green MSL!
  • I *knew* you were going to post something like that within minutes, me. Thanks for not disappointing! :-)
  • lets do it for australia !!
  • Ken Rosen: Don t you care about our planet?
  • Ken Rosen: Please read below link and think again about your and your company "green" policy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenwash
  • GREAT Ken - hope your tour will also stop in Austria and ETC would love to be part of it and promote it also!
  • Woohoo!!!!!!! Great initiative guys!!!! Hope the bus will do The Netherlands also! Can t wait for it.... Good work, Koen
  • Hey "me" you should probably shut off your computer, it s using a lot of electricity when it s on. Think of all the emissions it s producing.
  • Hey me, how do you know the bus won t be a solar powered biodiesel-electric-ethanol hyrbid?
  • Michael: Vienna is on our route! Koen: Amsterdam is on our route! Anonymoose: The bus won t be a solar-powered biodiesel-electric-ethanol hybrid, but we will be a putting out a lot less emissions than on the last tour. Main improvement is that we won t be running a generator at all times (which required the bus to be pretty much on at all times); instead, we ll be hooking up to external power when we re not in transit. Chris: Let s see if there s still interest after Season Two. :-) Me: Good article. Makes me glad I work for Microsoft! :-) Here s one for you: http://www.microsoft.com/environment/commitment_policies.aspx
  • So while this is a tour of EMEA... and the US being a settlement of Europe.. does that mean us Euroamerians are eligible to compete and go on this tour? ;)
  • Get On The Bus Strikes Back!... *Heavy Breathing* Ken, I am your father, err, Sorry about that.. but welcome back the BUS, Euro-style! That’s right! For those of you who missed it the first time, this time it’s back, and more euro than ever!   But what does this mean?...
  • Ken Rosen: Here are facts about your company and your team Greenwashing won t help there: http://www.greenpeace.org/international/campaigns/toxics/electronics/how-the-companies-line-up It is good that you have started reading your company pages about environment. There is the page that I was trying to point you that states (only partially) how much pollution you have added with your "going green" greenwashing lies.
  • One more thing Ken, read again Wikipedia article about greenwashing and your previous posts. "Me: You’re right–I don’t have any proof that our digital solution is more green-friendly than is paper and plastic… but I believe it nonetheless. Given the volume of certificates and wallet cards (which are of the non-recyclable plastic type) we produce each year, plus the packaging around them, plus the shipping, I believe that the digital application is better. I’d seriously like a referral to a tool to calculate the impact, though, if you know of one. Posted by: Ken Rosen (Microsoft) | Jun 7, 2009 at 8:39 pm 3) I understand the point you’re making about server consolidation. What you don’t know (and I don’t either) is whether our solution requires dedicated servers or whether it’s running on a virtual server. We have a vendor managing the solution for us, and since they provide this kind of service for many other clients, I strongly suspect that we are just one of several applications running on a server. Posted by: Ken Rosen | Jun 17, 2009 at 5:16 pm" You have asked about tool to measure impact, I ve pointed it to you (it is on MS site!). Then you silently ignored it.
  • Hi Ken! Please, add Portugal to the route! :) Cheers, Caio Proiete
