What is the difference between "Enterprise Desktop Administrator 7" and "Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7"? I know there was to be a Desktop Administrator cert, but I haven t seen any details of it yet. Also, will the EDA7 certification require an HDI certificate like the EDST7 does?

Any idea if this will now allow the 780 to count toward the EA CITP (assuming all other pre-requisites are met)? When I asked my Regional Service Center and they came back with "Wait until September" which seems a little odd (but that was last week so hopefully things have changed).

Dear Born to Learn team, Does this mean that we will get our beta exam score report soon? Because I read that the score report will be sent to us when the exam is released. Regards, Tom

Hello Tom, It s my understanding that you should get an e-mail notifying you of the result. You can also check your Prometric transcript for the result. As far as I know, you don t get an actual printed score report (readers, feel free to correct me if I m wrong about a hard copy of the score report being mailed to you).

Yes you receive the standard MS score report via the mail from Prometric you know the one with the bar graphs showing the areas that are strong vs needs improvement? I received mine this week but I received the email confirming my pass 2-3 weeks ago now.

This is a big surprise! Normally exams come out weeks after the product release, and this is months before release. Is this a first?

Hi Krista, I chanced on your blog while searching for job opportunities for ACE/exam projects. In the year 2006, I worked on TS 70-235 and TS 70-640. At that time I was working for an organization that was a vendor for MSL. I learned all about the blueprinting process, functional domain, and item creation from a great mentor (Jennifer Morrison). I even attended the Alpha workshops for both exams. The management of my ex-employer got ambitious. They goofed up majorly on the delivery dates and diluted the quality of item bank by putting multiple rank newcomers (trainee CDMs) to the Exam 70-640. As a result, the company lost the MSL projects contract. I suffered because I missed the challenge of creating assessments and item banks. I continued to work on creating assessments for Symantec and Adobe but missed the thrill of working on Microsoft projects. Krista, are there any job openings for ACE team that I could apply for? I thoroughly enjoy dealing with SMEs scattered across the globe, leveraging help from technical evangelists, while I create assessments and work as CDM and manage my projects holistically. I’ve been in the field of training and development (e-Learning/blended solution/instructional design) for close to 9+ years and have additional experience from the field of journalism (3+ years). I look for your guidance on job opportunities with exam projects. Regards Deepika B Pralat

I got my score report for the 70-680 exam via snail-mail last week, but the passing result showed up on my MCP transcript probably close to a month ago. If you haven t received a score report yet I would recommend checking your transcript on the MCP site.

Hi Krista Is there any upgrade path for candidates who hold MCITP: Enterprise Support Technician(Vista) to become MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator 7 OR MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7 ? Thanks a lot

Can you provide a date when this test (win 7, config) will reflect as a sub for Vista on the MCITP:EA track? The MS tools still show Vista only.
