We asked our partners to get on the bus with us; leave it to Netcom Information Technology to take us literally!

Robert Kratzke flew into Las Vegas from New York City, where Netcom is based, to join us at their Las Vegas training center, inside the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. That’s right: inside the hotel and casino.

Netcom launched their innovative “Las Vegas Bootcamp Experience” this past January, and they’re routinely teaching 30-50 people a week in Microsoft, Cisco, and PMP courses.

Their package includes airfare, room, meals, training, and certification—everything you need to quickly attain your certifications. Even if you’re not a gambler, there’s something cool about taking training this way—with students flying in from all around the country—these classes tend to be full, allowing Netcom to offer and run courses that might not have enough students to run if based solely in a local market.

We had a chance to see their classrooms (very nice) and speak with some of their students—fortunately for us, ‘cause I have no idea how we would have ever managed to pull of a “Get on the Bus” event on Mother’s Day if our audience wasn’t away from their homes too!

Thanks, Netcom, for hosting our final event of the tour (and for arranging local TV coverage—that was fun!)

Oh, and that literal part? Robert’s on the bus with us right now, on our final push to TechEd 2009!
