On 26 October, Microsoft Learning and Springboard Series will join forces to bring you Season 2 of the Get On the Bus Tour with an 11-city European road show that takes the crew of the Career Express from Milan, Italy to TechEd Europe in Berlin on 9 November. At each tour stop, you’ll get an exclusive preview of Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010. The Career Express Tour spotlights new training and certification opportunities that will sharpen your skills on next year’s hottest technologies! Join us at the stop nearest you for technical training, professional networking, hands-on experiences, and real world guidance from industry experts. Can’t make it to TechEd EMEA this year? Stop by your local CPLS for a TechEd EMEA Community Event and join them for a live viewing of the TechEd EMEA Keynote!

Where are we going?

  • Milan, 26 Oct
  • Zurich, 27 Oct
  • Paris, 28 Oct
  • London, 29 Oct
  • Brussels, 30 Oct
  • Amsterdam, 2 Nov
  • Frankfurt, 3 Nov
  • Munich, 4 Nov
  • Vienna, 5 Nov
  • Prague, 6 Nov
  • Berlin, 9 Nov

Host a Career Express and/or a TechEd EMEA community event!

The best part of the tour are the local stops the Career Express makes at training partners and community events. On the Career Express USA tour in May, we stopped at a luau thrown by a partner, high schools, and colleges. What do you get when you host an event?

1) Company profile promoted on Get On The Bus Tour website

2) Event resources to facilitate local event in your area as part of Get On The Bus Tour stop

3) Increased visibility with TechEd EMEA registrants and/or attendees

4) Technical training on Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010

If you would like to host a local event, we are taking applications until August 18. For more details, download the application form here: Bus Tour EMEA Event Application Form

EDIT: If your browser is opening the document as a zip file, this is a mime type issue.  To download the document as a Word 2003 file format, use this link: Bus Tour EMEA Event Application Form doc file

  • Next yedar you should make a stop in Zagreb, Croatia.

    Not Spain?

How cool!! I'm wondering what all those MCP around here would think about this...

Despite of popular thinking... Spain is not North-Africa. Maybe you could consider this country as SOMETHING like that?

    Cheers.

Believe me when I say we really want to be in Spain and Croatia. Unfortunately our schedule doesn't allow for it this time around. But there's always next year!
  • Please, add *Portugal* to the next year's route!

For this year, I guess I'll see you guys on TechEd Berlin :)
  • Duelund
Please also consider Scandinavian countries, next year.
  • I see that your in Amsterdam right in time for my birthday.

  • Not in Poland... :(
  • I think Zurich - Paris in a Bus through the Alps in one day is a bold move, Google calculates this as 655 km – about 6 hours 5 mins but that is in a fast car in Summer, in a bus this will take quite a bit longer. especialy in November.

    The route on a map:

  • Also not in Dublin :( maybe next time :)

I work with a CPLS in Ireland is it possible to host our own Get on the bus event at locations not covered by the tour (minus the bus). If so who should we contact in relation to this?

    Thanks
    Alan
  • it would be great to host an event, unfortunately the application form zip only contains xml files - can you also provide a word form???

    Thanks
    Richard

    @Richard Melbinger

So that's a mime type problem I'm trying to resolve (and I could use other people's advice on this). Your browser (at your browser in combination with this blog) doesn't recognize a docx file so it thinks it's a zip file.

The quick fix is to save the zip file and rename the extension to docx. My browser (using IE8) has this problem but my Tjeerd Veninga's browser downloads it as docx.

    @Alan

In lieu of a bus tour stop, you can also elect to host a TechEd Europe community event onsite at your location. I've also forwarded your post to our bus tour managers so hopefully they'll get back to you soon.

    Hey,

can it be you forget the most crowded region in europe to stop by? What´s with Ruhrgebiet? I would appreciate a stop somewhere around (e.g. Cologne, Duesseldorf, Bochum, Oberhausen, Essen... name it).

    Cheers
    Thomas

    Next time in Brazil...
  • Ozz
We would like to see this tour in Zagreb as well!
  • Where is the event taking place in Amsterdam?
  • Jamac
    Why not Dublin .. :(
  • Erwin Chan
Next time! We really wanted to go everywhere but unfortunately we couldn't make it to some places. The Spanish are also a little mad at us too :(
